What I do
I have worked for over 40 years in electronics, in Singapore, in Canada and in Thailand. One of my designs regularly features on the CSI television program. I am regarded as a world expert in analogue video. We design everything ourselves, so if we want a tiny microprocessor, we design our own one. However, I also have a Masters in Art History and have written three books (with a fourth on the way). I apologise in advance for having Radio 3 playing at the factory.

Rula
Junior Front-End Design Engineer, Blu Wireless
I never felt being a woman has disadvantaged me or held me back to become a Telecommunication Engineer. I am respected for my education, my contribution at work, and the value I add to the company as a junior engineer just as much as my male counterparts.
Oana
Software Engineer
When I first met the team during my interview, I knew I’d made the right choice. They made me feel welcome, and I was already laughing with them while learning so much!
Ronnie
PhD Student
I think the reason I ultimately did a joint degree was because I wanted to understand the “full picture” of technology, so to do Electronics or computer science on its own I would have felt like I was missing out on something.
