What you could be doing during your work placement
You will be working in our Bristol office, most likely within the Silicon PD Design team. Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding rtl to gds chip physical design flow
- Working with physical design team
- Working on efficient deployment of physical design stages to the available compute resource.
- Working on current project physical design work
Some key requirements for this role include:
- Problem solving skills
- Good communication skills (a lot of colleagues work remotely)
- Proficiency in tcl, python, shell, make
- Exposure to version systems like git
- Exposure to industry EDA tools, eg Synopsys FusionCompiler, ICC, STARRC, Primetime, Redhawk
