Build early interest in Electronics and engineering through an engaging, hands-on workshop for 9-11 year olds.
Broaden horizons and help to build science capital for pupils who may otherwise not consider a career in STEM.
Did you know… Children decide if they feel connected to STEM as early as 6 years old?
This decision can impact their choices all the way through school and into their career.

The programme aims to help children connect their ‘self’ with their concept of ‘people who work in STEM’, through a positive, practical experience of Electronics. We hope to help young people see that they already possess the attributes – such as curiosity, creativity or problem solving – to pursue STEM, and dispel myths that “it’s not for people like me”.
UKESF Primary Electronics is delivered with the generous support of companies and volunteers from across the industry.
Read on to find out how you can help to inspire 9-11 year olds with Electronics.
It’s a fantastic way to get involved in the community, share your knowledge and expertise, and inspire more children to explore STEM subjects and future careers.
