Semiconductor Talent Awards

The Semiconductor Talent Award aims help to address underrepresentation and improve social mobility in the UK Semiconductor Industry.

300 Awards will be made to individuals starting an Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), or a related subject, at a UKESF Partner University starting in September 2025.

Semiconductor Talent Award Benefits:

  • A £4,000 bursary in the first year of your undergraduate degree
  • An exclusive Induction Event
  • Monthly online mentoring and development sessions
  • A Learning & Development Bursary of up to £3,000 to be used towards career related development activities
  • Guaranteed eligibility for the UKESF Scholarship Scheme in the second year of your undergraduate degree

Eligibility

You must:

  1. Be classified as a Home Student or British National
  2. Have a firm UCAS offer to study Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), or a directly related degree course, starting in September 2025 at a UKESF Partner University

This initiative is part of the UKESF Semiconductor: Skills, Talent and Education Programme. Semiconductor: STEP comprises four connected projects, from schools’ outreach through to post-graduate training, which begin to tackle the skills shortage in the UK’s Semiconductor sector.
