Who we are and what we do
Novomorphic is a semiconductor design company focused on system-led innovation in digital and mixed-signal ICs. Backed by CSA Catapult, Cadence, and the Welsh Government, we are developing next-generation IP and semiconductor platforms from our base in Cardiff. We’re engineering compute solutions that meet the demands of modern AI, edge, and embedded workloads, and developing the talent to match.
What you could be doing during your work placement
As an intern, you will contribute to real-world engineering projects, including RTL design, lab validation, FPGA development, and ML acceleration. You will be integrated into customer-facing or platform teams using Cadence EDA tools. As a systems-first design house, Novomorphic focuses on silicon that fits tightly within larger software and hardware stacks; students will see and work within that full context.

Interns will be required to be on-site – with some flexibility – as this is hands-on, team-based work.
