The University of Birmingham Joins the UKESF

The University of Birmingham is the latest leading academic institution to partner with the UK Electronics Skills Foundation. It joins 18 other universities working with the UKESF and means that, as the scholarship programme expands, industry sponsors will be able to connect with even more high quality students.

“The University of Birmingham is delighted to be joining the UKESF. Our students will appreciate the additional opportunities for scholarships and study support that membership will provide. We fully support the work of the UKESF in creating partnerships that promote Electronics to students in schools and look forward to working together.”

Dr Tim Jackson, Undergraduate Admissions Tutor, Department of Electronic, Electrical & Systems Engineering

“I am delighted to welcome the University of Birmingham as our latest partner. They are really well respected in terms of their research, with an outstanding reputation for teaching. As our successful Scholarship Scheme continues to grow, their involvement will help us ensure that we connect with even more highly capable and motivated Electronics students.

The Department of Electronic, Electrical and Systems Engineering already has strong outreach links with organisations that we partner with, such as EDT and The Smallpeice Trust, so I look forward to working with them as our schools’ programme expands.”
