UKESF continues support of Electronics and Computer Science Taster Course

At the end of July the UKESF supported the University of Southampton’s Electronics and Computer Science Taster Course for the third year running. The five-day residential course is designed for students aged 16+ who love Maths, Technology or Science, and gives them the opportunity to apply their skills to computer science and electronic engineering while experiencing life as a university undergraduate.

Attendees took part in experiments in Southampton’s state-of-the-art laboratories, went to lectures and met leading employers at the Careers Fair, as well as socialising with current students and recent graduates. The UKESF sponsored t-shirts for student ambassadors and mentors (many of whom are UKESF Scholars) to wear during the course.
